Blessed Generation

Would you like to do something for
these children?

Sponsor, donate, or become a friend

Help us build a future that extends beyond today. Because children in Kenya deserve more than just survival. They deserve a loving home. Education. Health. Stability. It would be fantastic if all children had one supportive family in the Netherlands, but we are not there yet, which is why we are grateful for all financial contributions: per child, as a friend, through one-off campaigns, or from an inheritance.

Why sponsor?

Sponsorship is one of the most personal ways to help. You follow closely how a child grows, learns, and dreams. You become part of their story, and we think it's fantastic that so many donors and friends also come to Kenya in person: we welcome you with open arms.

Blessed Generation has been supporting children for 25 years, and we will continue to help, even when the going gets tough. We don't mind working hard, but every euro of support is more than welcome.

“It is important for us to know where our money is going. That gives us confidence.”

Helping one child = changing the future

Sponsorship is not a drop in the ocean. It is the starting point of a life story full of opportunities. From a child who grows up to become a caregiver, teacher, or entrepreneur. Who in turn becomes a pillar of support for others.

"The notion that there are very few links between you and the child is reassuring."

How you can help?

For €40 per month, you can sponsor a primary school child in one of our shelters or in the outreach program. For €65 per month, you can help a child in secondary school: just like in the Netherlands, further education is slightly more expensive. You can also support further education after secondary school, for example with a donation to the study fund. This way, you can give a child a real future.

What support means in concrete terms

This is what it looks like

Blessed Generation works exclusively with volunteers in the Netherlands. As a result, more than 99% of your donation actually goes to the children.

Tax benefit

Blessed Generation has had ANBI status since 2008. This means that we do not have to pay gift tax on the donations we receive, so that the donations go entirely to our work for children. Our donors also benefit from this ANBI status: their donations are therefore deductible from income tax, taking into account the threshold amount. If you make use of the so-called ‘Agreement for Periodic Cash Donations’, your donation is even 100% tax deductible, subject to a number of conditions set by the Tax Authorities.

👉 For example: €40 per month = €480 per year.

After tax refunds, only €27 of that €40 remains net – or €0.89 per day.

Organize a campaign

You can raise money yourself with a sponsorship campaign. It's great fun to do with your whole class, church, or sports club! For example, collect deposit bottles and/or cans from everyone in your neighborhood, friends, and family. Return them and donate the deposit money to Blessed Generation.

Is it your birthday, graduation, or anniversary?
